Anonymous text messaging for a quick club notice

Whisper

Hey! This message comes from a secret sender. Try it out!

We only allow positive and reasonable messages with a valid reason to send. No spam.

Three gentle steps

From draft to delivered

A club secretary can let members know the minutes are ready without a long thread or a fuss. Here is the path from blank box to sent note.

  1. 1

    Choose the number’s country

Open the page on any device with a browser. For a US number just type it in; for one abroad, tap the matching country flag first.

  2. 2

    Pick a sender name

Select a name from the list, something members will recognise at a glance. The note arrives from a number we manage, so your own stays at home.

  3. 3

    Write, preview, send

Keep an eye on the character counter as you type, then read the preview the way a member would. Gentle and short usually works best.

Tone first

Warmth in a housekeeping note

Anonymous text messaging does not have to feel cold. A reminder about the minutes can still sound like a person who values the reader’s time, with one soft line and one clear action.

Try something like: “Good evening, the minutes from Tuesday are now in your email. Take a look when the kettle is on, and thank you for a lovely meeting.” It is specific, short and unhurried.

A free send joins a queue of about 10 minutes, while $2 sends right away. For a notice that is not urgent, the wait is usually no trouble at all.

Questions from secretaries

Can members answer my text?+

This service is for sending only. Replies are not forwarded and no conversation opens, so it helps to end with where to respond, such as your email address or the next meeting.

Will members see my phone number?+

No. The text comes from a number we manage, shown under the sender name you picked, so your own number is not displayed.

What if a member would rather not get these?+

Recipients can use an opt-out page to stop future messages to their number. Messages are also filtered for things like spam and harassment, so keep yours plain and friendly.

Tell them the minutes are ready

Write one short, kind line and preview it before it goes.
